In response to the Prime Minister's announcement of an election on 8th June, Simon Hoare, Member of Parliament for North Dorset, said:
"It has been an honour to represent North Dorset since the General Election of 2015 and I look forward to seeking a fresh mandate and re-election in June. The PM was clear in the reasoning behind her announcement today: the UK needs a purposeful and trusted Government committed to delivering a programme of domestic reform, economic recovery and a successful delivery of the Brexit process. I am confident that the good sense of the British People will re-elect the Conservatives and the Prime Minister. I hope that I too will be re-elected to continue serving my constituents of North Dorset."
